Cabarrus County, North Carolina, established in 1792, lies within the shadow of the bustling metropolis city of Charlotte. Located in North Carolina's south-central region, Cabarrus County features the signature hilly countryside and refreshingly moderate climate of the Carolina Piedmont. In 1799 it was the site of America's first gold discovery.
