I was in real pain and afraid about my future. Ted Greve & Associates helped get my work comp straight. I've worked hard and I expect to be treated fairly. - Joan Bell          A friend told me about Ted Greve and Associates. They have convenient locations all over the area. I don't like driving in traffic so they came out to explain what had to be done . . . and did it! I am very satisfied with the results. - Pat Cochrane          I didn't know what to do. But a friend told me about Ted Greve & Associates. Dr. Ted took the time to make things right. I was still hurting . . . but Ted Greve & Associates was with me every step of the way. - Steve Southern
Kannapolis, North Carolina distinguishes itself as a proud community of hard working, warm-hearted people. Located in the lush rolling hills of the Carolina Central Piedmont Region, Kannapolis is 24 miles north of the dynamic city of Charlotte. Kannapolis sits within two counties, the western side of Cabarrus County, and the southern portion of Rowan County, where it reigns as the most populated city.

Kannapolis reported its population as 36,901 in the 2000 Census. The NC 2003 estimate showed more than 38,000. City boundaries extend over 30 square miles. Kannapolis residents enjoy a moderate Southern climate, with summer temperatures averaging 80 degrees, and winter lows averaging 40 degrees. Scant 5 inches of snow fall, usually disappearing the next day.

Kannapolis, NC began its life as a mill town that sprang up around Cannon Mills in the early 1900’s. Cannon Mills became the global leader in the manufacture of home textile products, later becoming the Pillowtex Corporation. In 1984, the city of Kannapolis incorporated and other industries came here. The Pillowtex plant closed in 2003, causing the largest permanent lay-off in North Carolina's history, but Kannapolis’ economy remained solid. Today it is home to firms such as K-town Furniture, Novant Health, Shoe Show and Stanley Works.

The Kannapolis Economic Development Committee works hard to attract new growth and maintain a top-notch standard of living for residents.   The city underwrites concert series, festivals and sporting events to ensure the hard-working labor force keeps a sense of small-town community. Kannapolis is a city of many parks and game fields, and even boasts its own baseball team, the Kannapolis Intimidators.

Businesses receive tax incentives and credits, grants and bond financing. Kannapolis, located in the I-85 corridor and a short drive from Interstate 77 and the Charlotte International Airport, is a prime business site. New employers show great satisfaction with the dedicated and enthusiastic work pool. A variety of housing exists in Kannapolis, from the original mill-village homes of the early 1900’s to brand new construction. Cost of living remains low here, as does the crime rate. The proximity to Charlotte provides residents with all the cultural and educational opportunities imaginable.

Kannapolis, North Carolina displays the best in small-city living. With a higher quality of life and a lower cost of living, Kannapolis citizens remain proud of their home.
